Came here to celebrate our friend's bachelor party. We all did the tasting menu and some of us did the wine pairing or at least ordered glasses. From the moment we arrived to the end of the meal, the service was incredible. Each of the staff were so knowledgeable and really made the experience that much better. The food was delicious, we spent most of dessert fighting over which dishes deserved the number 1 spot. There was nothing that we didn't like and the flavor pairings were so creative. Would highly highly recommend.

Rootstalk has some of the most flavorful and delicious food I’ve ever had! We enjoyed the cavatelli with rabbit sausage and morel mushrooms, and for our main dish we ordered the duck breast and halibut. Every dish was a 10/10 or better. We visited for my birthday and the staff provided an exceptional and special experience!

The happy hour menu is very small, but had some great options if you want a bite to eat for less! I got their seasonal salad for half the price it normally was and the flavors were incredible - fresh peas and the plating was BEAUTIFUL! I ordered the Alaskan halibut for my main dish and was one of the best fish entrees I’ve ever had in my life. I had a refreshing mocktail made with English pea, lemon and mint, and it was so good. The service was fast, welcoming and I’m so glad I finally had the opportunity to dine here. Will definitely be back. I dined in the cellar downstairs and it had such a cute ambiance, but very different than the upstairs. Be sure to make a reservation!

Rootstalk delivered the best food I've ever had in my life. Each course outdid the previous one, creating an unforgettable culinary experience. My partner and I had the privilege of sitting at the chef's counter on our wedding night, which made the evening even more special. Beyond the exquisite food and remarkable restaurant, the staff at Rootstalk went above and beyond to make our night truly magical. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth made the whole experience one we will cherish forever. I can't recommend Rootstalk enough for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience. The combination of exceptional cuisine, a beautiful setting, and outstanding service makes it a must-visit.

This place was recommended by a local person who supplies this place with farm fresh vegetables. Was super impressed with the tasting menu. Every dish was delicious and beautiful. Highly recommend if you are in visiting or want to do a special dinner. Staff was very friendly and professional. Best thing about mountain town fancy restaurants is the no dress code.

We loved it from the second we walked in. We were greeted and shown to our table. Our waiter Zach was awesome! The food was amazing. I don’t think there is anything you wouldn’t love. If it was appropriate we would have licked our plates clean!! We had the Oyster Rockefeller, the beef tartare, the coulette steak and halibut.

This was our big summer splurge to do their tasting menu. No regrets. Every course was delicious and unique, like nothing I’ve ever had before. Exceptional. Hope to have the to do again in a few years!

I loved the ambiance of this charming 1800s house. The staff was so kind and was on the spot all night. The food... oh man, the food. We had a Blue Crab small plate (bite), the Ricotta Cavatelli (dish with house made rabbit sausage), the Alaskan Halibut, and the Duck Breast. Everything was wonderful. My favorite was the Halibut, and that says a lot as duck is usually it for me. We topped off the meal with their Rhubarb Shortcake. This is a place where you get what you pay for. I'd love to come back the next time I find my way to Breckenridge!
